A Russian poultry factory asked us to transport a shipment of day-old chicks from Moscow to Abakan in May 2020. With domestic scheduled flights in Russia cancelled amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the client needed to charter a cargo aircraft to fly the livestock at short notice.
OUR SOLUTION
Route: Moscow > Abakan
Aircraft: Tupolev Tu-204C
We suggested chartering a Tupolev Tu-204C to transport the 600kg consignment, as the cargo aircraft was within the client’s budget and had the pressurised cabin and temperature control needed to transport livestock. Despite some obstacles when liaising with the cargo terminal at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, we managed to confirm everything for the charter within a day of receiving the initial request.
