Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is an international airport in Canada. The airport is named in honour of the 15th Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Elliott Trudeau. It is one of two airports in Canada which operate direct flights to five continents, the other being Toronto Pearson International. Opening in 1940 the airport has expanded at a rapid rate, now with two terminals and a hotel, and expansion is planned to continue in the future. The airport has undergone a number of modifications to accommodate the Airbus A380s. With three runways and two terminal buildings, this airport is an ideal gateway into Montreal whether for business or leisure.
